Marketing Leaders, Losers, and Lost in Space

Marketing leaders can be found in any
type of business. They use subliminal tactics
of persuasion to subtly grab your attention
and draw you in.

Of course the idea was to put their names
and image in your mind, so when the
Olympics started hopefully you would be
watching for them. As they compete in their
specialty field.

A couple of great examples of leaders in this marketing move
were Lyndsey Vonn, and Shaun White

Another marketing event the Tiger Woods press conference.
Designed to be an apology to the public for his infidelity.

Of course no one with any sense, can believe it has any
substance to it. It is designed to get your attention to watch for
the next golf tournament that Tiger Woods will compete in.

I also heard of a rumor that Howard Stern is in negotiations
to come back to the regular radio airwaves. I'm not much of a
Howard Stern fan, and have'nt heard much about him since he
went to satellite radio.

Could it be that lack of fanfare, that is drawing him back earth.

And of course this was designed to get people to start talking
about the proclaimed "King of all Media" again. Before the
real advertisements start to invade your mental arena.

Now I don't have a big ad budget for commercials, or magazine
covers. And I don't have an apology to hold a press conference
over. And I'm far from the "King of Anything".

Leadership by Determination, Being All In

The world is full of all kinds of
leaders. We have mothers and
fathers who raise us from infants
and instill their beliefs in us, be
they good or bad.

We have teachers who educate us
on the fundamentals of learning.
We have political leaders, who would
like to lead us in the way's they think we should live our lives.

We have militay leaders who mold
boy's and girls into disciplined
adults. Creating more men and
women of leadership caliber.

new recruits. In the determination
and ability of leadership

And we have sports leaders who inspire us to be great athlete's.

But the determination it takes to be a leader requires being able
to take the pounding you recieve from others who are not willing

To excel in any team building
situation, you must have
confidence, first and foremost..
You have to know and understand
yourself and your goals. You have
to recognize and accept your
weaknesses as well as your special
talents. This requires a kind of
personal honesty that not everyone
is capable of exercising.

In addition to knowing yourself, you must continue learning
about people. In any prospecting effort, you must accept other
people as they are, not as you would like for them to be. One of
the most common faults of new leaders is impatience when the
prospective teammate is slow to understand or make a decision.

Learning the personality colors, then making a clear presentation
to qualified prospects, and understanding their view. Will take a
lot less time once you know their strengths and weaknesses. You
then understand the prospects you are calling upon.

Building your organization is challenging. It demands the utmost
of your determination, creativity and innovative thinking. The
more success you want, and the more dedicated you are to

days, it's becoming increasingly difficult to make ends meet
with just one source of income. Thus, more and more people

Now is the best time to get these people interested in joining
your group. The first thing you must do, however, is some basic
market research. Find out for yourself, first-hand, just how many
people there are in your area who are interested in your proposed

Let's return to simplicity.

There are all kinds of complicated things you can do to
market online. But let's just look at the simple things
we know work.

The following formula will work for you whether you have
your OWN products to sell or you're promoting affiliate products.

There are 6 basic things you gotta know to get your
Formula working for you:

1. Who is your target audience?

This is the FIRST thing you have to know. Who BUYS
what you're selling.

In today's world, this is easy to find.

a. You search Google for the keywords people interested
in buying what you hope to sell are likely searching
for.

b. You take the top 10 web sites under those keywords.

c. You go to Quantcast.com and type in the URL's.

Now you know who your audience is.

2. What do they want to buy

a. Go back to the SAME websites in step one.

b. Look at what they're selling.

c. Now you know what people want to buy.

3. What's your advantage in the Game?

You need to have a USP or an advantage.

Look for 1 of 3 scenarios.

-- People who are underserved
-- overserved
-- or non consumers.

If they are underserved, you create products to serve them.

If they are overserved, meaning the products are more expensive
and elaborate than they need, you launch a scaled down product.

If they are non-consumers of your product, you make it easy
and convenient for them to use your product or service.

LAW ONE: Before going to battle, always have a clear, decisive
advantage. That's what Red Factor is about: Gaining an advantage.

Now, you know WHO buys, you know WHAT they buy,
you know WHAT your advantage is.

4. How you will reach 'em

Go back to the web sites in step one.

Go through and look to see if you can buy ads on their sites or
in ezines.

Do backlink checks with and see if any of those sites offer ads or
ezines.

Go here:

http://searchanalytics.compete.com/site_referrals/

On the first "site referrals" tab, type in each domain in the top
ten. Now you can see what KEYWORDS deliver the traffic.

You can buy keywords using ppc OR you can get organic rankings.
All you gotta do is find out:

* Where these people are hanging out
* The blogs they read
* The forums they go to
* The things they search for in Google

Then you offer a freebie that's irrestible to 'em.

5. How to get 'em into your funnel

Now you know how to reach 'em. You need to offer bait. You offer
a free report or other bait to get people into your sales funnel
so you can follow up with 'em.

What attractive report can you offer that people will crawl over
broken glass to get? THAT is what you offer on your "Squeeze"
page.

6. Send 'em emails

Send 'em emails and promotions that get 'em to buy.

The idea here is to find other things they want to buy, join
the affiliate programs, write up promos and send 'em to your list.

You'll also want to publish content to your list. You can write
that yourself or hire writers.

Once people are on your list, you send content and offers.
There is a sequence to that that my friend Lee McIntyre has
proven to be very effective:

Content. Pitch. Content. Pitch. For every pitch, send a piece of
content.

My friend Jim Edwards used to do: Content. Content. Pitch.

You can send offers for your own products or those from other
people. You can do your pitches in the emails, in blog posts, by
video, by audio, by webinar, by Ustream, or by teleseminar.

In Promo Dashboard, I call this rolling out "The Full Arsenal."
You use all the tools that work for you and fit who you are.

7. Turn every customer into an affiliate

In the ideal world, you wanna turn every customer into an affiliate.

The idea is that you make it easy for 'em to get articles, links,
banners and tools they can stick on a blog, Facebook or
Myspace page.

SUMMARY"

* Know who buys
* Know what they buy
* Know where they hang out at
* Offer 'em a tasty freebie they can't refuse
* Send 'em content and offers
* Get 'em all to be your affiliate

If you wanna get fancy, have 'em post and talk to you on your
blog and Twitter. Get 'em into a Facebook group.

Poof! Now you know the simplicity of marketing online. Isn't
that 10X clearer than a LOT of the things you've read to date?

You probably know someone who needs to read this article.

Floored by Team Building Results

The most interesting thing happened on the way to my blog.
I made a stop at ezinearticles.com, to upload a recent article
I had written. I had noticed they published one of my articles
today.

Being curious as to it's ranking, I did a quick Google check,
lo and behold, my article is number one. I was floored
my article ranked #1 out of 12.7 million pages, in less than
a day.

I have to thank my mentor Richard Dennis for this happening.
He did a teleseminar a few weeks ago, about using LSI which
stands for latent semantic indexing. It sounds like some
boring scientific research gobbledy-goop.

But what it really means is using relative words, that match
you major keywords. So I thought I'd give it a go using this
free keyword software PPC Web Spy.

Since it works so well, I decided to join the 100 Day Challenge.
Which is to write 100 articles in 100 days. The site is free to
join, and the community is there to help keep you focused.

What is Latent Semantic Indexing?

LSI is a methodology involving statistical probability and
correlation that helps deducing the semantic distance between
words.

Do you feel like Gilligan, talking to the Professor

Latent Semantic Indexing, or LSI, is a way for search engines
to view and rank web pages in a more natural, or human,
manner.

Behind the scenes the LSI algorithms analyze pages not only
for keywords, but also for synonyms and other related words
which might be expected to be present.

For example, a web page about barbecues, when analyzed with
LSI, should logically also contain such related words as “grill”,
"patio", "sauce", "recipe", “charcoal” and/or "smokers".

In general, while we do not know the exact mathematical formula
used for LSI, we do know that its real function is to determine
if the content of a site is of value to the visitor or not

How The Mass Media Masters Distorting Your Mind

At first glance, it would seem that positive thinking and Attention
Deficit Disorder (ADD) have nothing to do with one another.
But many of those with ADD develop negative thinking patterns
because they become frustrated by challenges and frequent
feelings of being overwhelmed.

Having a negative outlook then makes it even harder for all of
us to manage our daily challenges and motivate ourselves to
move forward.

Practicing positive thinking allows us to focus on our strengths
and accomplishments, which increases our happiness and
motivation. This, in turn, allows us to spend more time making
progress, and less time feeling down and stuck.

The following tips provide practical suggestions that you can
use to help you shift into more positive thinking patterns:

1. Take Good Care of Yourself
It's much easier to be positive when you are eating well,
exercising, and getting enough rest.

2. Remind Yourself of the Things You Are Grateful For
Stresses and challenges don't seem quite as bad when you are

from it, release it, and don't follow it.

6. Squash the "ANTs"
In his book "Change Your Brain, Change Your Life,"
Dr. Daniel Amen talks about "ANTs" - Automatic Negative
Thoughts. These are the bad thoughts that are usually
reactionary, like "Those people are laughing, they must be
talking about me," or "The boss wants to see me? It must be bad!"
When you notice these thoughts, realize that they are nothing
more than ANTs and squash them!

7. Practice Lovin', Touchin' & Squeezin'
You don't have to be an expert to know the benefits of a good
hug. Positive physical contact with friends, loved ones, and even
pets, is an instant pick-me-up.

8. Increase Your Social Activity
By increasing social activity, you decrease loneliness. Surround
yourself with healthy, happy people, and their positive energy
will affect you in a positive way!

9. Volunteer for an Organization, Help another Person
The more positive energy you put out into the world, the more
you will receive in return. Everyone feels good after helping.
You can volunteer your time, your money, or your resources.

10. Use Pattern Interrupts to Combat Rumination
Rumination is like hyper-focus on something negative If you
find yourself ruminating, a great way to stop it is to interrupt the
pattern and force yourself to do something completely different.
Try changing your physical environment - go for a walk or
sit outside. You could also call a friend, pick up a book, or
turn on some music.

7 Online Network Marketing Business Misconceptions

Much have been said about network marketing (MLM) of the

online variety. While a lot of people claim that it is a marvelous

way of earning an income on the internet. There's an equal

number of people who condemn it for reasons that are born

from the fears they have with something as seemingly novel

as online network marketing programs.

Which of these fears are true, and which are false?

A closer study on some of the issues raised against network

marketing online programs will reveal the truth behind the

subject.

1.Online network marketing is a “get rich quick” scheme.

It is not. You will have to invest some time and effort to achieve

the highest possible success in this field. Online network

marketing will not gain for you some passive income, at least

not immediately. You will have to develop your network and

fill it with dedicated individuals from whose efforts you will

earn recurring commissions.

2.Online network marketing is a pyramid scheme.

It is not. Online network marketing is a creative kind of direct

selling. Basically, a person is a customer of your network

marketing home based business program. Though unlike

of their purchase.

3.Online network marketing is illegal.

It should never cease. Even if you feel that you have generated
enough leads from which you could convert some into new team
members.

There will come a time when all those leads would be exhausted.
What then? Where will you gather your earning potentials if you
have stopped looking for leads? A network marketer’s task is
to continuously – and unceasingly – discover and educate new
prospects everyday.

5.Lack of focus.
Many network marketers are being led to believe that they
should join as many MLM programs as allowable to provide
for themselves multiple streams of income from which they
could diversify their earnings.

This could prove dangerous.
Spreading yourself too thin by engaging in multiple programs at
the same time would make you lose your focus. Instead of
concentrating all your efforts to achieve success with one
program, you’d be dividing your limited time among several
platforms.

The best way to deal with things is to firmly establish yourself a
solid down line from which you could earn some reccuring
income in a sustainable system at a substantial level. This way,
you’d be ensuring that you’ll receive some income from your
business even while you’re vacationing on the beach.

Knowledge, they say, is half the battle won.

Knowing the common mistakes that uneducated network
marketers make is the first step towards success, as it will
guarantee that you won’t fall prey to what has caused their
failure. Learn from them, and succeed where they have fallen.

To get the knowledge necessary to be successful in your
network marketing business. You need to be learning from
a team of people who are using and teaching a proven duplicatable

Systems Beat Goals Every Time!

This is the time of year when almost everyone reviews their
dreams and sets goals and targets for the new year, and that
is a GOOD thing! Always be clear about where you're going!

Always have a destination, an outcome, a "next step" or target
in mind. If you don't choose your goals, you are doomed to a life
without direction or purpose.

Always know "what's next" in life!

At the same time, here's an interesting question:
Would you rather have goals, or systems that automatically take
you where you want to go in life?

I think the answer is obvious, but few people seem to really
"get it." Goals are wonderful. As I just wrote, goals are good!

But systems are better.

The problem with goals is that they are always in the future.
They are something to be worked on and achieved as soon as
possible, but always in the future.

Systems support us and enrich our lives immediately, today,
right NOW!

Because they are in the future, goals are easier than systems.
Goals sound nice, they can be exciting, and there's a certain
safety in knowing that we can have goals "down the road"
without having to disrupt our lives today.

New systems, on the other hand, disrupt our lives--sometimes
very dramatically--and can upset important people around us.
A goal to start a business "soon" or "this year" is very different
than coming home late every night.

A goal to start "some day" is very different than spending every
weekend launching the new project. A goal to be slim, trim and
strong "this year" is very different than adding a daily workout
to your already hectic schedule.

Systems (or habits) are the golden path to anything we want
in life. Once you establish the system or pattern of exercising
every day, fitness is no longer a goal. It becomes the automatic,
inevitable result of what you "normally" do every single day.

Fitness is a "side effect" of your system!

This is true of just about anything you want in life. My bias is
that no one should ever set a "goal" to save or invest for the
future! What a silly thing to do! Instead, make the decision to
start investing immediately, then develop a system to make
saving automatic, fool-proof and easy.

The "goal" to save will never make you rich, but a system like
the payroll savings plan at work just might do the trick.

Similarly, never set a "goal" to improve your marriage! Instead,
develop a system that includes some quiet time every single day.
Establish a system of weekly dates, daily hugs and lots of laughter.

Develop habits (or "systems") for sharing and intimacy that
will predictably lead to the results you prefer.

Systems beat goals every time!

Year after year, I have clients who are eager to set sales "goals,"
but few who are prepared to change their daily behaviors and
develop systems that will guarantee more sales.

Systems make success automatic, but can be uncomfortable,
even painful, at first. In the end,

I recommend focusing on systems.

Goals excite the imagination and give us a preview of coming
attractions, but systems are the golden path to ultimate success.

Systems give us control and empower us immediately.

Systems will open doors and give you the life you truly want.

Monday's Marketing Misconception

I may make this a regular post, but for today!

Here is my view on a marketing misconception.

I'm driving down the highway this afternoon, when a billboard
catches my eye. It has big green lettering

"IT'S COOKIE TIME"

And as I get closer I can make out the figures underneath the
writing. It's a bunch of girl scouts holding boxes of cookies.

Now before I could completely process the thought of everyone,
everyone knows. Family, friends, coworkers and church members.

Who have a daughter, niece, or grandaughter in the girl scouts.
Handing you one of those big glossy cookie order forms, to order
some girl scout cookies.

If anyone cares to send me some,
my favorite's are the peanut butter cookies.

My attention is grabbed by another billboard maybe a hundred
yards down the highway. But this one has a woman in a
police hat and shirt, with handcuffs.

Advertising for Ambiance "The Store for Lovers"
Valentines Day is almost here.

So now my thought is that a couple dozen guys will be stopping
at "Ambiance". And buying girl scout uniforms and cookies to
give to thier wife's and girlfriends for Valentines Day.

Because thats just the way some guys think.

Can Microsoft Fix Cure Relationship Marketing Virus

I recieved this story in an email today. I thought it was pretty
funny. So I thought I'd share with my readers.Hope you get a
good laugh out of it also

Dear Tech Support:

Last year I upgraded from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0. I soon
noticed that the new program began unexpected child processing
that took up a lot of space and valuable resources.

In addition, Wife 1.0 installed itself into all other programs and
now monitors all other system activities.

Applications such as Poker Night 10.3, Golf 5.0, Hunting and
Fishing 7.5, and Drinking 3.6 now runs very seldom or not at all.

I can't seem to keep Wife 1.0 in the background while attempting
to run my favorite applications. I'm thinking about going back to
Girlfriend 7.0, but the uninstall doesn't work on Wife 1.0.

Please help!

Dear Troubled User:

This is a very common problem that men complain about. Many
people upgrade from Girlfriend 7.0 to Wife 1.0, thinking that it
is just a Utilities and Entertainment program.

Wife 1.0 is an OPERATING SYSTEM and is designed by its
Creator to run EVERYTHING!!! It is also impossible to delete
Wife 1.0 and to return to Girlfriend 7.0.

It is impossible to uninstall, or purge the program files from the
system once installed. You cannot go back to Girlfriend 7.0
because Wife 1.0 is designed to not allow this.

Look in your Wife 1.0 manual under Warnings-Alimony-
Child Support. I recommend that you keep Wife1.0 and work
on improving the situation.

I suggest installing the background application 'Yes Dear' to
alleviate software augmentation. The best course of action is
to enter the command C:\APOLOGIZE because ultimately you
will have to give the APOLOGIZE command before the system
will return to normal anyway.

Wife 1.0 is a great program, but it tends to be very high
maintenance. Wife 1.0 comes with several support programs,
such as Clean and Sweep 3.0, Cook It 1.5 and Do Bills 4.2.

However, be very careful how you use these programs.

Improper use will cause the system to launch the program
Nag Nag 9.5. Once this happens, the only way to improve the
performance of Wife 1.0 is to purchase additional software.

I recommend Flowers 2.1 and Diamonds 5.0

! WARNING!!!

DO NOT, under any circumstances, install Secretary With Short
Skirt 3.3. This application is not supported by Wife 1.0 and will
cause irreversible damage to the operating system.

How to Avoid the Personality Crisis of Sponsoring, and Become a People Expert in 60 Minutes

I recieved a USB turntable for Christmas, a present from my
wife Lorelle.She would like me to turn my boxes of albums into
cd's, she probably wants me to get rid of them. This way she
can fill the space with more of her stuff.

So as I'm going through them, I spotted it. I forgot all about
this record. But as I pulled it from the box, there he was in all his
drunken glamrock glory.

The picture of a Personality Crisis

David Johanson and the New York Dolls. With the attitude
and swagger that the hair bands of the 80's were dying to achieve.
The lipstick and eyeliner along with the haystack hairdo's. They
cranked out some loud and brash Rock & Roll and defined a
style with their song "Personality Crisis".

It's personality roulette

This can also describe how a lot of network marketers go
about building their teams. They really dont know the inner
workings of the people they sponsor. Their just out to fill that
weak leg with 2392 people. Or fill all the levels necesary to get
paid in the new Matrix payplan.

How to pick your people

The smart way to people shop is to know their strong suits. And
determine how they will fit in and help grow your team. Which in
turn grows your commision check. But the big problem really is
not knowing their weaknesses.

Sponsoring a Yellow personality into a stairstep breakaway
plan will lead to a lot of misery for them. They like to help their
people, and nurture them all the way through the business. But
when their people breakaway, or cant make the system work.

They are the ones who feel all the guilt. And believe it's their
fault all their people are dropping out.

Fixing the personality emergency

The ones that drop out and jump from program to program are
the Blue personalities. Their always in a crisis, if this plans not
working the next one must be better. You will need to help them
stay focused on the outcome.

They need to make money fast, excitement is what keeps them
going. If not their gone, and enrolling in the new triple spinning
double helix comp plan.

The alarming truth about details

Green personalities on the other hand, want and need all the
details you can give them. Their going to read every word on
your wepage, and go through all the calculations in your comp
plan. They wont join your team right away.

But when they do, their in it for the long haul. Because they
hate to be wrong, so they will make it work. No matter how
long it takes.

People who drive us mad

Now the Red personality, you need to tell them about all the
money they can make. Then you need to sell them on all the
money their going to make. Also you will need to close them
on all the money they are going to make.

Because that's all that matter to them. The money, the money,
the money.

How The New Year Brings Your Home Based Business a New List of Resolutions

Are you gonna stay ON track or get off track?

Every week or every several weeks it seems like there is a
new product launch promoted by all the usual suspects.

Nothing wrong with that.

A lot of these products bring fine value to the table. They all
show screen caps of huge amounts of dough brought in during
relatively short time spans.

The implication being that if they can do THAT, the smaller
amount of money you need must be a piece of cake.

That's all well and good.

But before you spend your $1,000 or $2,000, there are a few
things you need to consider:

1. What will happen to the validity of the method once everyone
jumps on the bandwagon? This is a valid concern. Products
that contain seo or ppc tricks are likely to NOT work after
Google hammers down on 'em, as Google seems to love to do.

Anytime anyone figures out how to beat others in getting an
advantage with Google, and widely promotes it, it seems to
break down.

The BEST approach with Google is to seek out Evergreen
strategies and things that aren't widely promoted. I see quite
a few methods promoted where the promoter knows darned
well that after the product launch, it'll fall apart. PPC and
SEO software programs or strategies are particularly vulnerable.

2. Is this method really valid for your normal marketer?
So let's say John Doe made 1 million dollars in a second. All well
and good. But how valid is the method for YOU?

For example, let's say the money was made in a huge product
launch in a niche. That's fine. But do YOU possess the credibility
to go into a niche and do the same thing?

The argument can be made you don't need similar credibility.
But is it true? Or let's say the person is killing it on Google PPC.
But then you later find out they're a super duper whiz with
spreadsheets and have better attention to detail than an
accountant.

Is THIS really gonna be your cup of tea?

If you're good with numbers, go for it. But if you aren't, you
might think twice. There's more than one way to skin a cat as
the old saying goes.

3. Is the product ALL strategy or are the actual technical details
covered? If you can handle the technical details on your own,
then this isn't a big ordeal. But what I see a lot is people buy
products that are all strategy and they aren't given the tools to
actually implement them.

So for example, they may be told to create PDF's, audio and
video and distribute them to affiliates for promotions. But
there are no instructions on how to set up the affiliate program,
create the pdf's, audio and video.

So at the end of the day, you're all EXCITED but NOT
empowered to DO anything. To actually implement it. Sure,
it sounded good. But where are the step-by-step instructions?

4. Does this method REALLY fit with your overall model or
plan? One of the things beginners and even intermediate
marketers seem to have a problem with is choosing and
sticking with ONE game plan.

You can sell affiliate products. Or you can promote CPA offers.
Or you can create and sell your OWN products. But you gotta
pick one model and stick with it.

Some would question that.

But I just don't think a person, especially someone relatively
new to the business can do more than one of these effectively.
You use different methods to promote affiliate programs than
you do CPA lead offers. And it's a different learning curve for
creating and selling your own products.

What often happens is you're on one game plan. But then
everybody and their dog promotes a new, more exciting
method that sounds like a lot EASIER dough.

So then you jump ship.

Until the NEXT easier method comes along. Understand that
the NUMBER of people promoting an offer has nothing to do
with its actual value. It has to do with how skilled a networker
the person is and what their relationships are.

That is, which cliche are they in? Are they in the Cali cliche?
The UK cliche? You know, there are different groups of
marketers who all stick together and promote each others
offers, even if they don't feel it's the best match to their
philosophy or for their list.

Nothing wrong with this. But you as an astute consumer
should know what you're looking at.

5. Can you sort out the different models? There are a few basic
approaches to the online Game:

a. Creating and selling your own info products
b. Selling on ebay
c. Promoting dropship products through seo
d. Promoting Clickbank products through ppc
e. Promoting CPA offers via ppc or paid advertising
f. Pure seo plays
g. Selling plr or reprint rights products
h. Joint venture marketing
i. Product launch plays (part of a)

When offers come out, you need to figure out FIRST which
bucket it belongs in. And ask yourself if that's the bucket
you're working on or specializing in.

Just because a chorus of angels (Internet marketers?) all
swear a product they've never even seen yet is great doesn't
make it the cat's meow. It might be. Could be.

But your own examination and scrutiny is warranted.

If you're doing PPC marketing and it's an seo play, then pass.
If it's a joint venture method that requires you to have your
own products and you're doing affiliate marketing stuff, then
pass.

See, you gotta know what PLAY you're running. You can't run
one play and in the middle of it go, "Oh, wait. This sounds better.

No wait! This grass is greener."

One week marketers are all screaming... PPC to Clickbank!
It rocks. Buy this. So that is one model. The next week it's,
"No wait. My bad. Product launches rock. Do that instead!"
Next week it's, "Affiliate marketing rules! Forget what I said
the last two weeks! Affiliate marketing is what it's ALL about."

This week it's CPA marketing, "OMG -- CPA marketing. It's
the greatest. Go over to my friends site because in 6 weeks
when I do MY launch, I want him to reciprocate a mailing."

The Game and the Dance of product launches, reciprocal emails
and back scratching goes on and on. Not that it's wrong or bad.
Hey, it's business. And there's nothing wrong with it. I
promote on occasion for a few of my friends.

Let's be honest here.

But here's the PROBLEM I got with it. A big problem. You,
as the consumer, are often left scratching your head which
way to go. Now, in my business I teach people how to create
and sell their own info products.

That's dominantly what I do.

And the reasons for that are many. I believe it's the best long
term, evergreen strategy, although it certainly isn't the only
one. But I think of a massive product launch that was made
based on getting top seo positioning and drop shipping
products. Next thing you know Google had changed the rules!

And all of a sudden the chorus was pay-per-click marketing!
So part or all of that learning curve you went through on the
seo was WASTED and now it's a NEW learning curve of PPC!
Which is good for the marketer because it keeps you buying
info products and attending seminars and buying coaching
programs.

But is it good for YOU the consumer?

Product launches are ALL based on something new and
exciting. Because people easily get disenchanted with the
work it takes to create and sell their own products. Or the
work it takes to really do ANY method, frankly.

There is no way to make a lot of dough that doesn't require a
brain or effort. ANY method you use has some sort of Achilles
heel. Something you won't like about it. And you can do well
with about ANY method.

I just like things where you go through the learning curve once,
or as few learning curves as possible and they last. Not that
you'll ever completely avoid learning curves.

What is your MODEL?

That's the question here. And are you going to STICK to
your model when the going gets a little tough? Or are you
going to jump ship to the greener grass on the other side of
the road? Think twice before you do. That's all I'm saying.

Because realize that marketers have a vested interest in selling
you the greener grass on the other side of the road that spawns
new learning curves, seminars and coaching programs.
Nothing wrong with that at all.

But you, as an educated consumer, should know what the
Game is and how to play it for YOUR advantage, not the
marketers.

everyone and everything to be warm, happy, and comfortable.

They dont like confrontation, and despise bullies.

I never realized there was so much stuff I didn't want.
And now that December is here, and all the Christmas
giveaway's will be starting. I vow not to sign up for any

WALL*E Disney Pixar Perfectly Portray Personality Color Green

I find it hard to spend $50 to take the family to the theatre to

see a movie. So we buy the videos so the kids can watch them

over and over.

Not only do they have quite a movie collection. They also have

training films. I've seen them practicing in the mirror, sad faces,

and various other expressions and sayings.

So I am quite prepared when they think thier going to pull a

fast one over on my wife and I. And of course they send the

youngest one in to do thier bidding. And he's pretty good.

Watching the movie WALL*E, it's about a little robot who is

some kind of trash compacter. I couldn't help but notice the

Green personality they gave him.

The Green Personality is very organized, and detailed, to a fault

sometime's. WALL*E was left to clean up the earth while the

humans were on a space cruise. Not like Gilligan's three hour tour.

They were gone for 700 years.

WALL*E would compact trash into little cubes, and very

methodically stack them in rows. And then build on top of them.

As he did this he would collect things and take them home.

Once there he had an elaborate filing system of shelves, with a

section for each kind of object he collected. He had spare parts for

him, and a wide variety of odds and ends. And a stash of twinkies,

he fed to his pet cockroach.

Being organized and methodical in thier approach to everything.

The Green personality can take along time to make a decision.

Especially when it comes to investigating your home business

opportunity And thats what they will do, investigate it,

analyze it, and scrutinize it.

Until they are satisfied they have all the data they need to

review and review,and review. And when they have made their

decision you will be the first to know. But what you want to know

first is how to detect a Green.

causing me to sneeze, over and over again.

After a few pages I was experiencing something coming over
me. As I was envisioning what seemed like smoke rising out of
the lamp, as the Genie was being released.

Willing to grant my every wish

All I have to do is absorb the knowledge contained in the pages
of this ancient sacred manuscript. And create a habit of putting
it all into action.

Realizing that my desires begin with an impulse of thought. I
can mold and form them, till I create the determination to get
whatever it is I want.

By developing a pupose, and standing by it until it is an all
consuming obsession. Leading me to create the ultimate in
material possesions, and a spiritual well being.

I understand this may require seeking expert guidance from
the Genie himself. To keep me drilling into my desire and keep
going that one step beyond each roadblock.

Until I can magically, magneticly attract all that I desire. As
long as I know what it is I want. But it all starts by building that
fire and stoking it till it creates a burning desire.

My thoughts from Chapter 15

Fears are nothing more than a state of mind!

Before we can master an enemy, we must know its name, it's
habits, and it's place of abode. It begins with study, analysis,
and understanding. Because they can grow without thier presence
being observed.

I must recognize that I am susceptible to all the basic fears. And
must continuosly develop habits for the purpose of defeating
them. Before they can develop a foothold.

To protect myself against negative influences. I will use my will-
power, and put it to constant use. Until it builds a wall of Immunity,
against negative influences in my own mind.

And I will continuosly keep my mind closed against all who want
to depress and discourage me in any way.

No alibi will save me from accepting the responsibilities if I now
fail. Or refuse to demand Riches of Life. Because the acceptance
of such Riches call for one thing.

A State of Mind.

And a state of mind is something that one assumes. It cannot be
purchased. It must be Created.

Man can create nothing which he does not first concieve in the
form of an Impulse of thought. And mans thought impulses
begin immediately to translate themselves into thier physical
equivalents. Whether the thoughts are voluntary or involuntary.

The obvious truth is that we live in a world of overabundance.
Of everything The heart could desire. With nothing standing
between me and my Desires. Except the lack of a definite purpose.

I do demand riches, and choose to determine what forms and
how much will be required to satisfy me. I know the road that
leads to riches. I have been given the road map.

Which when I follow it, will keep me on that road. If I neglect to
make the start, or stop before I arrive. No one, will be to blame,
except me!

This responsibility is all Mine!

Tale's, Toys, and Turmoil, A Day With Little Boy Blue

My son is nine and full of imagination, and a few other things.
There's also compassion, anger and most of all love. He is what

I wake him up at 6:30 and he starts talking, even before he is

he's dancing in front of the mirror. He's gathering the prehistoric
treasures he found in our back yard.

He's really just a BLUE

time they come up with a new drug. At least it seems that
way by the commercials on TV!

It IS the engine of your business. It's everything. Without it
you are nothing.

Key #2: Add a new skill weekly or monthly

I believe that success in this business is built one skill at a time.
You stack skill sets. Maybe this week or this month you learn
to do screen capture video using Camstudio or Camtasia.

Next week or next month you learn to use Dreamweaver,
Sonic Memo or Photoshop Elements.

But you keep layering in skill sets. In my Dashboard series,
I try to turbocharge people's skillset stacking.

That's my objective. To put it on fast forward.

You need to learn how to submit articles using article marketer
or submit your article. You need to learn how to use tracking links.

There are many skills to learn. Just add one a week and you'll
be rocking in no time.

Key #3: Outsource once you have a system

I really think some people are getting the cart before the horse.
Once you have something rolling, you outsource it. It's difficult
in my experience to get results by outsourcing what you don't
already have rolling.

First get it rolling. Then outsource it.

Key #4: The hardest person you'll ever hire is person #1.

You'll worry and fret about whether or not you can afford them.
If they have talent, you can afford them. If they have mediocre
talent, you can't afford them. If they have a low level of talent,
they'll suck money out of your pocket.

But once you have something coming in, don't be afraid to pay
for help. If you don't, it'll cost you in the long run.

Key #5: Never take your eye off the ball

The ball is your lead generation. Whether you use an affiliate
program, article marketing, seo, ppc, paid advertising or viral
marketing, that is the engine of your business.

Never take your eye off of it.

In Key #1 I said you build your business by lead generation.
Now I'm telling you the secret to staying in business is to keep
the pedal to the metal when it comes to lead generation.

Key #6: The better you convert visitors to sales,

The easier your lead generation will come. You'll find it's easier
to afford media, outsourcing and help the more visitors you
convert to sales.

Key #7: A robust back end fuels the fire

The more you have rock solid upsells in place, the more you
have recurring billing or forced continuity, the more you have
big tickets, the more you sell on the back end, the more
lubrication your business has and the easier it runs.

A skinny rabbit will lose a long race for lack of fuel.

Keep your back end (your repeat business) fat and happy.
Out of all these keys, the most important one is #2. Because if
you keep doing that, you'll eventually do all the other keys.

Leaders are readers.

Charlie Tremendous Jones said that many years ago.
And it's true. There's a niche market I'm involved in as a buyer,
not a seller. And what I've noticed is that the people who succeed
in this field are ones who have an awesome skill set.

While some people complain about how hard it is to learn new
things and how tough it is, the winners just keep plowing away.

Some people succeed in business due to genius. But the surest
route to success is to keep plowing away.

Keep learning. Keep doing.

Balance your learning and your doing. If you spend 80% of your
time learning, that's likely too much unless you're a newbie.
If you spend 90% of your time doing, you probably aren't building
your skill set enough and sharpening your saw.
